Eico 730 Modulator - Factory Wired
This modulator is designed for plate modulation of the matching Eico 720 transmitter or any transmitter with RF input power up to 100 watts or for driving a high power class B modulator. Like the 720 transmitter, the 730 featured a heavy copper-plated chassis and a nice low-profile design. The eye tube is used to monitor modulation levels. The octal socket on the rear panel includes the modulation transformer secondaries for matching various impedances from 500 to 10,000 ohms.
This unit was last used 2 years ago with an Eico 720 transmitter which I no longer have. All of the tubes have been tested and are very strong. The 6CA7 EL34 tubes test in the range of new tubes. The copper plating does have some blemishes. The two 6CA7 EL34 tubes have the keys broken off. I have put white alignment marks on the tube bases. The 5AR4 rectifier has been replaced by a 5Y3 which is how I got the unit.
The unit will be safely packed and all of tubes will be removed and safely packed in a separate box.
