This is the INPUT/OUTPUT card for the WJ 996 handler card cage. It it configurable to use as the STANDARD I/O card or the INDEXER I/O card. The standard card allows the CPU card to monitor sensorsand is cabled to the OPTO I/O Bboards 1 & 2. The INDEXER I/O card provides communication from the CPU card to the overflow indexer. Will included the board jumper configurator for this card, just changing a umper from W1 on the card configures this card for either application.
This card is in 2 slots in the WJ-996 handler cardcage.
The card is WJ part number 980758-001 for the standard card configuration, this card is 978769-001 for the indexer card configuration.
This is a new original WJ card, not refurbished or second source.
This is the new version of this card for model 3.45 and later. All fuses are new and tested good.

The standard I/O card allows the CPU card to monitor sensors, and control actuators in the handler. See
Figure 4-2. The standard I/O card also provides a communication link to the CVD System Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). All inputs and outputs are optically coupled. The standard I/O card is cabled directly to the Opto I/O boards by 50-pin ribbon cables. The cable labeled INPUT runs from connector J1 on the I/O card to Opto I/O board #2 (2BD). The cable labeled OUTPUT runs from connector J2 on the I/O card to Opto I/O board #1 (1BD).
The Indexer I/O card provides parallel communication from the CPU card to the overflow indexer. 5 bits of I/O are used for addressing, 8 bits are used for passing data, and 3 bits
are used for control functions. An indexer interface board mounted on the perforated screen on the bottom of the handler frame rearranges I/O to meet the indexer's data transfer specification. The indexer I/O card is the same as the Standard I/O Card, with the exception of address jumper configuration at W1 .
