The level itself does not have magnets, that's where the mag base comes in.
The base can be used with Checkpoints other 880, 600, 660 laser levels and most torpedo levels.
Has five rare Earth magnets for phenomenal holding power
Can use the graduated jack thumb screw that can easy set intermittent grades / slopes or check grades / slopes. (see close up pic)
fully machined and anodized finish with laser engraved 12 inch ruler in 1/8ths increments.
The base is a plumber's / pipe-fitters dream tool for sloping drains. Drain can make all the turns and a constant slope can be maintained from a reference point.
