This is a massive and solid door, that swings easily without a closer, and in a measured normal way with a closer. Despite its weight and size, it handle like a feather when properly installed. It has 4 massive heavy duty hinges. The closer creates a soft but impressive thud. The Door is very strong, 2.5 inches thick, with 3/8 in glass, and around 200-250 lbs (with glass). Bulletproof glass could be substituted by unscrewing the inlaid glass frame. The Frame itself is 8ft4in, 100-150lbs and requires heavy gauge metal studs. The heavy duty closer is about 20-30lbs. This door is lustrous gorgeous chrome and would be the crowning touch for any reception center, office, datacenter, humidor, wine cellar, jewelry store, or any fortress of business requiring strength, security, and elegance.
In the photo it was installed on 8-10 inch metal studs, surrounded with 1/2 inch masonry board and granite tiles. The studs were secured to floor and ceiling deck of a commercial building. The entire unit is ready for installation. Original purchase price over $18,000.
