Canberra 1492/1492D Timer/Scaler NIM Module
For sale- a Canberra 1492 Timer/Scaler NIM Module. Good physical condition with nothing obviously broken, but I don t have a clue what it would be used for. Powers up and visibly starts counting up the right hand column first, and proceeding to tally it in the next column to the left. Beyond that it is untested, and no warranty is offered.. No cables, no manual, nothing included other than the module you see in the pictures. I have never seen a Canberra product with the CI logo on it before (Canberra Industries), and I was puzzled by the Sturrup printed on the front, thought that might be some kind of model name or something. But on the back it notes that it is a product of the Sturrup Nuclear Division, with a Middleton, CT address. So I am assuming this to be an earlier vintage Canberra product than I am used to seeing.
It also notes there that the model number is 1492D, so maybe the D denotes a later rev or simply the quasi-digital readout. Or maybe it just makes note of the fact it is a double-width plug-in.
